ILF Technologies has acquired the Evtec Corporation. The closing was held in Chicago on Friday, February 21, 2003.
ILF Technologies is a leading supplier of inline finishing equipment primarily for the heat set commercial printing industry. This product line was also previously sold under the Versa Tech and Baldwin names. According to ILF President Bob Allison, "the fit with the ILF and Evtec product lines is perfect and will bring a lot of synergy. We also have a lot of people on staff that are familiar with the Evtec product line which will allow a quick and efficient transition".
Evtec is the leading supplier of precision sheeters for the forms, converting and commercial printing industries with hundreds of installations worldwide. The product line also includes the previous DATM, Hayes and Egan installation base.
ILF Technologies is affiliated with Milan's Machining & Manufacturing. Milan's Machining has been in business since 1969 providing precision-machined parts to a variety of industries including printing. It is one of the largest precision machine shops in the Midwest and is a major supplier of printing press parts. Milan's Machining has also manufactured major Evtec components.
The combination allows ILF Technologies and the newly acquired ILF Evtec product line to have complete control over all manufactured components including critical tolerance items. It also provides a great resource base of operations and financial stability.
According to Allison, "the immediate goal is to get the parts and service resources quickly in place to take care of the current Evtec customer base. We look forward to our expanded product line with the outstanding sheeter and batcher products that have been acquired, and to providing the much needed parts and service assistance to Evtec customers".
ILF Technologies is a world-leading supplier of web finishing solutions for the printing and converting industries with over 500 installations worldwide.
