New 60’ Wide cut size sheeter system with low count batcher |
ILF announces the installation of a new high-speed, low ream count, 60" wide sheeter batcher capable of 140 reams per minute discharge rate running 6 streams. This new system has been developed for a custom paper manufacturer in the Midwest. The new machine not only represents a new width capability for ILF but also sets a new benchmark with a very fast 2.5-second ream discharge cycle time.
The new system addresses the problem of low batch counts restricting line speed. With a 2.5-second cycle time -almost 25 reams per minute per stream – the production of short counts just got a whole lot faster. This system serves a specific but growing niche in the SOHO and forms market place for short count work.
In addition to the new batcher technology the line contains some interesting auxiliary components including Martin Automatic festoon splicers and AccuWeb tilt roll web guides. The completed line will also have high speed shrink wrap and cartoning capabilities
The current batcher configuration is limited to a maximum stack height of about 1.5" and can be applied to any of ILF’s standard widths up to 60" wide. ILF’s standard batchers have a typical maximum batch height of 14".
