New SERVO sheeter released

Evtec announces a new style servo drive sheeter for those applications requiring a servo unit. Working with a high-end drive supplier, Evtec was able to develop a system that would maintain the high cut accuracy required by its customers. While we have a base of servo machine installations, we knew there was not a servo sheeter on the market that could deliver the more demanding length accuracy requirements we see today. We searched hard for a drive supplier that understood the difficult inertia problems involved in this application and developed a proprietary system with the best one we could find. Although cheaper servo systems are available they can not deliver the accuracy required in laser sheets – and that was our focus. The servo style units usually make economic sense where wide range of cuts is required and/or multiple press applications makes it attractive versus the less expensive gear driven units.
