New ILF Perf and Gluer for the “Sunday Press”
ROMEOVILLE, IL - May 2006 - Working closely with Goss engineers in Dover, ILF started up both units on time and under budget.
The new ILF narrow gap perf plate lock up closely matches the Sunday Press taking full advantage of the larger print area. This allows the printer the benefit of additional perf area which can be critical in coupon work.
One of the key objectives in the order process was to deliver a tried and proven design with special features to integrate better with press Compliant Sunday Press technology and facilitate a smooth on budget start up. The new ILF Perf and Gluer unit had the following features for Sunday Press compatibility:
- Siemens Servo Drive system to press specifications
- Control Integration into Sunday Press System
- Auxiliary drive station panel
- Special motion alarm
- Matching Press Control Stations
ILF Perf units (pictured below) are typically placed between the chill rolls and folder section and are used to apply pattern perforations for coupons, tear offs etc adding value to your product range.
ILF Remoistenable Glue units (pictured below) can add commercial value to customers allowing them to broaden their product offerings. Normally placed before the dryer, remoistenable gluers can apply a range of viscous solutions such as:
