The ILF Imprinter was designed to reduce shutdowns and restarts associated with simple form changes. Dates, logos, prices and address changes may be made at press speed without shutting down.
This unit utilizes a photopolymer plate and includes a press like ink distribution system. The plate is mounted to a scribed cylinder for accurate positioning. These plate pads are mounted to the idle cylinder while the press is running. Prior to the desired count is achieved, the new cylinder is accelerated to match press speed. The new imprint is engaged simultaneously as the old cylinder is taken off impression. This is accomplished through electro-pneumatic throw offs and bearing box eccentrics.
The web is run around a common impression cylinder to provide proper support for the imprint pads.
An industrial grade PLC control is used for programming the system functions. Remote operator panels are optionally available. This simplified programming function includes more than switching from one plate to the other. Operators may also change the ink distribution to suit each job requirement.
Various options are available to customize the system for your preference. Magnetic plate cylinders and independent servo drive is optionally available. These units are mounted between the press infeed and the first printing unit.
